In October 2025, we traveled back to California to attend the wedding of a dear friend and revisit our old stomping grounds along the Central Coast and in the SF Bay Area. It was so special to be back in a place that still feels so much like home. We soaked in the fresh ocean air, caught up with friends, visited the ground squirrels of Lover’s Point in Pacific Grove, and ate at some of our favorite restaurants.

After a beautiful weekend wedding in Half Moon Bay, we had some time to spare before driving up to San Francisco for the last part of our trip, so we wandered down to the beach. As we stood looking out at the ocean, Will abruptly asked if I could hold his coffee cup and turned away. I assumed he just needed free hands to sneeze or blow his nose. :)

To my complete surprise, he got down on one knee and proposed.

After screaming, “WHAT!!”, shedding some tears, laughing, and saying a very enthusiastic YES, we ran over to a family walking down the steps and asked if they would take a photo for us.

October 26, 2025 quickly became the best day ever. We ended the weekend with two nights in San Francisco, staying in the heart of Japantown, being up close and center at a magical Jason Mraz concert at The Fillmore, and soaking up some rare, sunny, warm SF weather.

​

And just like that, a trip down memory lane became the beginning of our next chapter together.
